U.S. to increase Troop Levels in Iraq.

Anticipating a new burst of insurgent violence, the Pentagon plans to expand the U.S. force in Iraq to improve security for a planned October referendum and a December election. Although much public attention has been focused recently on the prospect of reducing U.S. forces next spring and summer, defense officials foresee the likelihood of first increasing troop levels

Elections, referendums....damm, pull us out and let the Iraqi people do all this themselves. We already bled the ground red to insure our right to vote....I don't think it's right that we should have to do the same for someone else.

Here's my two-step plan to a better America:

1) Pull all the troops from around the world. Get them back here.

2) Bomb OPEC. Take over the world's oil supply.

This way we can all fill up for about 3 cents/gallon.

That'll shut everybody up.

You would bomb poor little Venzuela ? They are 1/11th of OPEC. What about the other superpowers of OPEC... Indonesia , UAE or Nigeria ?

I say to heck with oil all together and switch to ethanol. That way we really could fill up for 3 cents a gallon. Is ethanol safe to run in a gasoline engine? I've heard stories of people being able to put moonshine in their tanks and their cars run but thats prob just nonsense...

I wish we would get our troops out of Iraq and we have to have technology or supplies to help on these fuel prices. After all a superpower and our hands are tied by a group that basically controls the fuel blood supply of the world.
I know i read the below this morning and i find myself now wondering what is the plan to help our troops.
We sure need some sort of plans, for our troops, and our fuel problems.

A suicide car bomber struck a U.S. convoy near a crowded square in a wave of violence that killed at least 17 people, including a U.S. soldier, in Baghdad as Iraqi politicians resumed talks on drafting a new constitution. A U.S. Marine assigned to the 2nd Marine Division also was killed Monday in action by small arms fire in Ramadi, 70 miles west of Baghdad, the military said.
